Making a move when children are involved can be difficult. Every age has different complexities but typically it is more difficult for an older child to move than a younger one.
A younger child may get excited about the "new" bedroom, playset, or the pool. The older child will typically be more interested in the social life and what they are leaving behind. They can't be "bought" by a fancy house or the promise of their own bedroom.
Excite the younger children by pointing out some of the Lehigh Valley attractions that will be available to them.
Depending on the interests of the child, different tatics may be used. If music is important and the school has a great music program then maybe your son or daughter will get excited about the new opportunities. Sports? The Lehigh Valley has everything anyone could want.
Moving is very stressful and children can tell. Try to make it a positive experience and involve them if they are interested. Some agents, would prefer children are left at home with a sitter. I leave that decision up to the parents.
