Some of the 55 Plus Communities are golf course communities while others have very active schedules with a full time activities director.
Almost all of them include a clubhouse with different amenties available (party room, billiards, fitness center).
Every 55 Plus Community includes a monthly HOA fee. This fee is typically between $150.00 and $300.00 per month. The fee usually includes all outside maintainance including grass cutting and snow removel as well as the clubhouse.
For most of the 55 Plus Communities, the yearly taxes are between $4,000 and $5,000 per year. A few communites have taxes as high as $8,500 per year.
55 Plus Communities have specific rules about children. Children are allowed to visit but can not live all year at the community. Each community has different rules governing the length of stay with respect to children.
